Initial consultation

Your initial consultation with Dr. Gabriel is an important first step in understanding your needs and exploring the best way forward. During this appointment, we take the time to get to know you, discuss your concerns, and assess your overall oral health. A detailed 3D scan is usually carried out to give us a clear picture of your bone structure and help us plan carefully. From there, we’ll create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your situation, ensuring you understand each stage of the process and feel comfortable and informed before moving ahead.

Treatment

The treatment phase is where your new smile begins to take shape. In most cases, this involves placing a small titanium post called an endosteal implant into the jawbone, where it gradually bonds with the surrounding bone over time. For those needing a more extensive solution, we may recommend an approach such as an all-on-four implant, which supports a full arch of teeth using just a few anchor points. Once the implant area has healed, we move to the next stage, where a custom-made crown or bridge is securely placed, restoring the natural look and function of your teeth. Throughout each step, your comfort and care remain our top priority.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium, a biocompatible material, which are surgically placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth or bridges. These implants fuse with the bone over time, providing a sturdy foundation for replacement teeth that feel, and function like natural teeth. The 'implant' is composed of three parts:

1. CROWN

The crown is custom-made to match the colour, shape, and size of your natural teeth. It is securely attached to the abutment, completing the restoration.

2. ABUTMENT

The abutment is a connector piece that attaches to the implant fixture. It protrudes above the gum line and serves as the anchor for the replacement tooth or teeth.

3. IMPLANT SCREW

The implant, made of titanium, is a small screw-like post that is surgically placed into the jawbone. This provides stability for the replacement tooth and stimulates the jawbone, greatly reducing the potential for bone loss.

Full-mouth restortation treatments

Losing your teeth means losing your smile, your ability to eat and speak normally, and your confidence. There are a range of options depending on your needs and budget. We offer free consultations for any patient who is considering a full mouth treatment. We will do an exam with x-rays and present you with your various options for treatment and answer all of your questions. If you're considering a full mouth treatment, please schedule a free consultation with us. These treatments include 3-on-6, All-on-X (All-on-4) and overdentures, to learn more about each, find more information below.
